You are worth it.
Permanent makeup is an investment. We want to take all measures necessary to achieve the best outcome. Any facial procedures such as chemical peels, facials. laser treatments, glycolic acid, microdermabrasion, microneedling, and/or dermaplaning should be done at least 4 weeks before your appointment. Botox and fillers should be done at minimum 2 weeks prior. Client must not use Retin-A or retinol for a minimum of 2 weeks prior. Refrain from extreme tanning and waxing the brow area for at least 10 days prior.
Also, it is important that you do not take ibuprofen or aspirin, supplements and vitamins, fish oil, niacin, and do not eat cayenne, fish, garlic, ginger, or drink coffee or alcohol at least 48 hours before your appointment.
You will follow a “wet healing” regimen for aftercare. You will need to change your pillowcase nightly, so make sure you are prepared for that. You will receive an aftercare package from K Brows to take after your procedure, but you may want to purchase some extra so that you do not run out. Distilled water, Dial anti-bacterial soap, cotton swabs or Q-tips need to be available. You can purchase grape seed oil if you’d like.
Please make sure that you have all paperwork done prior to your appointment.
The big day is here! Make sure you follow the preparation guidelines leading up to your appointment, and don’t forget to skip the coffee with breakfast. Please make sure that you eat before your appointment. The entire appointment can take between 3-4 hours and food is not permitted inside, but your body also releases certain chemical when you are hungry that can affect retention. Do not workout the day of your appointment. A fresh, makeup free face is preferred, but not necessary. Some clients choose to wear their daily brow makeup as a reference for desired shape. Friendly reminder that you may want to bring a sweater in case you get cold, because unfortunately blankets are not allowed in a sterile environment. Comfy clothes are recommended.
Make sure you fill out your paperwork online before your appointment! The paperwork is very thorough and would add a significant amount of time to your appointment. If paperwork isn’t completed before the appointment, there is the possibility of rescheduling depending on schedule availability. In the event of a reschedule, the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit and new appointment will need to be made.

You will wear your mask for the entire appointment, minus the mapping portion. Please notify your artist if you feel uncomfortable removing your mask for this.
Aftercare instructions will be given to you in your aftercare package, along with some tools to assist you in your healing process.
Aftercare is very important to achieve beautiful and lasting results. Follow Aftercare instructions meticulously because this will protect your investment.
DAY 1
Dab brows lightly with sterile gauze pads. Do this every hour until bedtime.
DAY 2-14
Wash brows gently 2x a day (once in the morning and once before bed) with tepid water and Dial anti-bacterial soap.
Pat dry with clean tissues and apply aftercare cream or Aquaphor sparingly to brows. A grain of rice worth for each brows is enough. Repeat this routine EVERYDAY until healed.
THINGS TO AVOID
SWEATING for the first 10 days; no exercising!
Sun exposure of any kind ( this can cause fading and effect healing).
Hot showers
Sleeping on your face. Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep.
Itching, scratching, rubbing, or picking (this will pull out the pigment). Instead tap to relieve.
Touching brows with unclean hands.
Saunas, steam rooms, tanning beds.
Swimming in a pool or the ocean.
Smoking
Excessive alcohol or spicy foods.
Anti-aging creams for at least one month ( these products fade pigment faster).
PLEASE DO NOT PANIC! Microblading has a natural healing process. Trust the process! It is natural for your brows to itch, flake, scab, have redness or soreness, disappearance of pigment or darkening. ALL or NONE of this MAY happen.
Corrections to color, length, arch, fading and any imperfections will occur during the touch-up session.
Schedule your 6-8 week touch-up session as soon as possible to reduce scheduling conflicts.
USE SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY!
Serious medical issues are uncommon, however contact K Brows IMMEDIATELY if you experience any signs of infections or adverse reactions at the site of your procedure, and contact your personal physician or go to your nearest health care facility. Reports can be made to the Texas Health Department.
Fist bumps and air high-fives are great for a no-touch welcome. Mask wearing is mandated. If you do not bring a mask with you to your appointment, one will be provided for you at an additional cost. A temperature check may be required before starting your service. You will be required to wash your hands upon arrival.
